Why a Pro version?

I am an Indie developer and I have been developing SkEye full-time for more than an year now (as of Dec 2011). Simply put, I need to sustain myself and the project. Due to various circumstances, I think a Free + Premium model is the best way to achieve sustainability.

Why is it not available on the Android Market?

Unfortunately, Google hasn't enabled paid apps to be published from India yet. When it does I will gladly publish it in the Market.

Why SlideMe?

SlideMe is one of the most popular alternate markets for Android. It was one of the first web-based market (even before Android Market had a web version).

Moreover, SlideMe supports many payment options including PayPal, Amazon Payments and Credit/Debit cards. In this regard, it is actually better than the Android Market.

What about the future?

If you buy from SlideMe now and I later publish the paid app on the Android Market, I will ensure that you will be able to migrate to the Google Market by two means:

  • For the first few days on the Google Market, the app will be priced really low.
  • For those who can't avail the introductory offer, I will personally reimburse funds to you when you purchase from the Android Market.
